Felt + Taxidermy = Feltidermy
Kate, aka Girl Savage, has found a way to turn the morbid practice of taxidermy into felty fun with her custom order Feltidermy plaques. Kate describes the inspiration behind Feltidermy:
“My feltidermy and plush creatures appeal to the impish child side of my personality, the kid who sat cross legged on the living room floor watching Bugs Bunny on Saturday morning. I’ve always just loved cartoons and it shows in my one of a kind works of hand stitched art. Hand stitching allows me to connect and bond with my work and makes me feel as if I’m molding and breathing life into my animals while I’m creating. Kinda like Geppetto!”
We’re excited to share three of our favorites:

Unicorns:

This is hilarious! My nieces love unicorns, but I don’t think I will be making one of mounted heads for them.
Great Stuff!

These are adorable. A little bit twisted, but cute nonetheless. Thanks for sharing.
